Restaurante Balandro

Balandro is a restaurant on Alameda Clara Campoamor (formerly Alameda Apodaca) in Cádiz, looking out over the Bay of Cádiz beside the 19th-century Alameda gardens. The Vélez brothers opened it in the 1990s as a family business, and it describes its style as the future of tradition. The kitchen cooks Mediterranean food with a strong Andalusian accent, built around fish and seafood from the bay. The wine cellar leans on Sherry and Cádiz wines, and also carries a short list of Champagnes by the bottle.
