Oak

Oak is a one-Michelin-star fine-dining restaurant in the centre of Ghent, at Burgstraat 16, where chef Marcello Ballardin cooks a refined, produce-driven menu with occasional Brazilian influences. Sommelier Valerie Goedertier looks after a wine list of around 250 references, including a well-chosen selection of Champagnes from small, passionate growers alongside more classic houses. The style leans towards pure, elegant wines chosen to match the kitchen. It is open Tuesday to Friday for lunch and dinner and closed at weekends and on Mondays; reservations are recommended.
