Where to drink Champagne in Northern Ireland?
Northern Ireland has a lively restaurant, bar and hospitality scene, with Belfast naturally offering the widest choice of Champagne. You’ll find everything from elegant hotel bars and restaurants to more relaxed wine spots where a glass of bubbles can easily become part of the evening.
Beyond Belfast, Derry, the Causeway Coast and smaller towns across Northern Ireland are worth exploring too. The food scene is a big part of the experience, and when wondering what to eat with Champagne, oysters, seafood, smoked salmon, local cheeses and other fresh produce are all excellent options.
Northern Ireland is also surrounded by an increasingly interesting drinks culture, so don’t be surprised to find Irish whiskey, craft beer, cider and interesting local producers alongside the Champagne.
Good to know
Northern Ireland works well for a Champagne celebration with a little scenery on the side. Combine Belfast with the coast, historic towns and some of the region’s spectacular landscapes, then finish the day with a good meal and a glass of Champagne.
Check the Champagne Hunters map before you go, and if you find a place that’s already listed, comment and share your experience. If you discover somewhere missing, add your find to the map yourself – especially if you find a good Champagne-by-the-glass option.
