La Champagnerie

La Champagnerie is a dedicated Champagne and bubbles bar in Old Montreal, known for its sabrage ritual (bottles opened with a sabre). The list runs to dozens of genuine Champagnes, with growers such as Bonnevie-Bocart, Vouette & Sorbée and Ruppert-Leroy alongside houses like Taittinger, Pol Roger, Henriot, Veuve Clicquot, Krug and Dom Pérignon; several are available by the glass as well as the bottle. The kitchen leans toward oysters, tartares and sharing plates. A lively, celebratory room set in an exposed-brick heritage building, open evenings from 5pm.
