A beloved hidden gem more than 20 minutes through the dunes south of Scheveningen, far from the tourist crowds. De Kwartel draws almost exclusively locals and devoted regulars — no designer chairs or branded umbrellas, just laid-back family-style seating and genuine hospitality. After burning down, the bar was rebuilt within days thanks to passionate crowdfunding. Recognised by Star Wine List for its serious wine and champagne selection. One of the most authentic and characterful spots on the Dutch coast.
