Where to drink Champagne in The Hague?
The Hague has a polished but relaxed food and drink scene, with plenty of wine bars, restaurants, hotels and terraces where Champagne fits naturally. The city centre is an easy place to start, but it’s worth exploring beyond it too. Zeeheldenkwartier has a more local, independent feel, while Scheveningen brings Champagne with a completely different backdrop – the North Sea.
The Hague is also a great city for combining food and drinks with a little sightseeing. You can go from elegant streets and historic buildings to the beach in a matter of minutes, making it easy to build a day around a few different stops.
Good to know
If the weather is good, I’d definitely consider heading towards Scheveningen for a glass of Champagne by the sea. And if you’re visiting in summer, book ahead for popular terraces and beach venues.
Check the Champagne Hunters map before you go, and if you visit a place already listed, comment and share what you found. If you discover somewhere missing, add it to the map yourself – especially if you find Champagne by the glass.
