Café de Flore is the historic Saint-Germain-des-Prés café at 172 boulevard Saint-Germain, open since the late 19th century and once the haunt of Apollinaire, Sartre and de Beauvoir. Its current menu has a full Champagne page: by the flute (13 cl) a house brut at 22 €, Pommery Rosé Apanage 22 €, Barons de Rothschild Blanc de Blancs 25 € and Dom Pérignon 49 €. Bottles run from Pommery Brut Royal and Duval-Leroy at 110 € through Louis Roederer Collection, Moët, Veuve Clicquot and Taittinger at 130 € and Bollinger at 150 €, up to Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, Krug, Cristal and Dom Pérignon P2. It opens daily and stays open until 1:30 am. No reservations; expect to wait for a terrace table at peak times. Prices include service, but confirm them when ordering.
