Where to drink Champagne in Marbella?
Marbella has two faces. The old town is all whitewashed lanes, orange trees and the little Plaza de los Naranjos, while a few kilometres west Puerto Banús lines its harbour with superyachts. Champagne feels at home in both, from a counter in the central market to beach clubs known for their Champagne parties.
The Champagne on our map is spread along the coast rather than packed into one district. Near Puerto Banús and Nueva Andalucía you’ll find beach clubs and big international restaurants with long bottle lists. Closer to the centre, the municipal market on the edge of the old town has an oyster bar that pours Champagne at the counter. East of town, towards Elviria, resort restaurants and terraces look out through gardens to the sea.
Marbella’s dining scene leans international, so Champagne rarely feels out of place. Seafood is the easy pairing. Order oysters, grilled prawns or espetos, sardines threaded on skewers and grilled over a fire on the beach, a Málaga province classic.
Explore the Champagne Hunters map before you head out. If you find a bar or restaurant serving real Champagne that isn’t listed yet, add it to the map and help the next Champagne lover find it.
Good to know
Marbella runs to a summer rhythm. From June to September the beach clubs are full, tables at popular restaurants go fast and many places stay open well past midnight. Out of season the town is calmer and some beach venues shorten their hours, so check before you go. Puerto Banús and the old town are several kilometres apart, so plan a taxi rather than a walk if you want to see both in one evening.
