Champagne bars and restaurants in Phoenix
Phoenix combines a sophisticated dining scene with the unmistakable character of the Sonoran Desert. The city has a growing selection of upscale restaurants, hotel bars and wine-focused spots where Champagne works well for everything from a relaxed dinner to a Champagne celebration. Nearby Scottsdale is also an important part of the area’s luxury food and drink scene, particularly for resorts, fine dining and nightlife.
The city’s neighbourhoods each have a different feel. Downtown Phoenix has restaurants, cocktail bars and cultural attractions, while Arcadia is known for its restaurants and relaxed atmosphere. Roosevelt Row brings galleries, independent restaurants and a more creative side of the city, while Old Town Scottsdale is a natural choice if you’re looking for upscale dining and nightlife.
Phoenix’s food scene also goes beyond typical desert cuisine, with excellent Mexican and Southwestern influences. When considering what to eat with Champagne, seafood, oysters and dishes with citrus can be natural pairings, while spicy Mexican flavours offer something more unexpected.
Phoenix grew rapidly in the 20th century, transforming from a small agricultural community into the major desert metropolis it is today. The surrounding Sonoran Desert remains central to its identity, with saguaro-filled landscapes and mountains visible from many parts of the city.
Good to know
Phoenix is sprawling, so it’s worth choosing your neighbourhoods rather than trying to cover the whole metropolitan area. Downtown Phoenix and Roosevelt Row are good for restaurants, bars and culture, while Arcadia and Scottsdale are better suited to a more polished dining and resort experience.
The desert is also a major part of the Phoenix experience. Camelback Mountain, Desert Botanical Garden and South Mountain Park offer very different ways to experience the landscape without going far from the city.
