Bemelmans Bar

Bemelmans Bar is the piano and cocktail bar inside The Carlyle on the Upper East Side. The walls are covered in murals by Ludwig Bemelmans, the illustrator behind the Madeline children’s books, and live piano music plays every night. Champagne is served by the glass and by the bottle alongside classic cocktails. A cover charge applies while the music is on, and prices are on the higher side.
