Where to drink Champagne in Adeje?

Adeje is one of the most popular areas in south Tenerife, and its combination of upscale hotels, restaurants, beach clubs and international visitors makes it a good place to look for Champagne. The biggest concentration is around Costa Adeje, where you’ll find everything from relaxed seaside restaurants to more polished dining spots.

The area is particularly well suited to Champagne with a view. Playa del Duque, La Caleta and the coastline around Costa Adeje offer plenty of opportunities to combine a glass of bubbles with seafood, sunset and the Atlantic. You’ll also find a very international food scene, so Champagne doesn’t have to mean French food.

Good to know

Adeje is also a good base if you want to explore more of Tenerife. You can easily combine beach days and Champagne in Costa Adeje with trips into the mountains, volcanic landscapes and smaller towns around the island.

Check the Champagne Hunters map before you go, and if you find a place that’s already listed, comment and share your experience. If you discover somewhere missing, add your find to the map yourself – especially if you find a good Champagne-by-the-glass option.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I look for Champagne in Adeje?

Start around Costa Adeje, Playa del Duque and La Caleta, where you’ll find the largest selection of restaurants, hotels and more upscale venues.

Is Adeje good for wine lovers?

Yes, although the main attraction is more the international wine selection than a large local wine scene. Tenerife does have its own wine-growing traditions, so it’s worth trying a local bottle alongside Champagne.

What local wine should I try in Tenerife?

Try wines made from Listán Blanco and Listán Negro, two of the island’s characteristic grape varieties. Tenerife’s volcanic soils and different microclimates give its wines a distinctive character.

What food should I try with Champagne in Adeje?

Try fresh seafood, oysters, grilled fish and lighter Mediterranean dishes. Champagne also works well with the international food available throughout Costa Adeje.

What to do in Adeje, Tenerife?

Explore Costa Adeje’s beaches and coastline, La Caleta and the surrounding natural landscapes. If you have time, head inland towards Teide National Park for a completely different side of Tenerife.

Is Adeje, Tenerife worth visiting?

Yes, absolutely. Adeje is a great choice if you want sun, beaches, good restaurants and easy access to the rest of Tenerife. It’s particularly convenient if you want to mix relaxed days by the Atlantic with exploring the island.
