Where to drink Champagne in Warsaw?
Warsaw is probably the best place in Poland to start if you’re looking for Champagne. The city has a large and increasingly sophisticated restaurant and wine scene, with everything from dedicated wine bars and modern restaurants to elegant hotel bars.
The city centre, Śródmieście, and areas such as Mokotów and Praga are all worth exploring. Warsaw’s food scene is very international, so you can easily move from Polish cuisine to Japanese, French, Italian or modern Nordic-inspired restaurants – and Champagne can work with all of them.
There’s also a growing interest in Polish wine, including sparkling wine. It’s still a small industry, but if you come across a bottle from a local producer, it’s worth trying alongside Champagne to see what’s happening closer to home.
Good to know
Warsaw is a city where you can easily combine good food, Champagne and a bit of history. Explore the Old Town, walk along the Vistula, then head into the more modern parts of the city for dinner and drinks.
Check the Champagne Hunters map before you go, and if you find a place that’s already listed, comment and share your experience. If you discover somewhere missing, add your find to the map yourself – especially if they have Champagne by the glass.
