Boulder has a more relaxed, food-focused atmosphere, while Aspen is the natural choice for luxury dining, high-end hotels and Champagne after a day in the mountains.
Colorado’s food scene also makes it interesting for what to eat with Champagne. Oysters and seafood work beautifully, but local cheeses, charcuterie and richer mountain-inspired dishes can also make good pairings.
Colorado became a state in 1876, earning its nickname the Centennial State, and its history is closely tied to mining, the Rocky Mountains and the development of the American West. Today, the mountains are still central to the state’s identity, with skiing, hiking and outdoor adventures attracting visitors year-round.
Colorado is especially appealing if you want to combine Champagne with mountains and outdoor activities. Head to Denver for the city experience, Boulder for food and nature, or Aspen and Vail for luxury resorts, skiing and après-ski Champagne.
