Henri-Marc de Venoge moved from Morges to Epernay in 1837 and founded the highly regarded champagne house de Venoge there. The family name comes from the small river de Venoge. De Venoge Cordon Bleu Brut is a young, vibrant style of champagne using 20% reserve wine from the previous two years in the blend. It is an equal split of pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier and has around 6g per litre dosage. De Venoge only uses the first pressing, the “cuvée”, to produce champagne.
